Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to my engagement session?

Simple is best! Avoid graphic tees, things with logos, and busy patterns. Layers and textures are great. The key is to coordinate your colors, but not be "matchy".  Wear clothes that you are comfortable in and feel beautiful wearing. While more than one outfit is acceptable for your session, please limit your max amount of outfits to three.

How long does the session last?

Sessions typically last between 1 - 2 hours. This depends on the amount of outfits you chose to bring, the locations and the light available.

How do we book you?
That one's simple! Just email me through my contact page, or email me directly at amanda@awilliamsphotography.com. If you're inquiring about a wedding, please include your wedding date and venue location.

Where will the photos be taken? Do you work out of a studio?

I do not work out of a studio, as I prefer natural light and natrual elements. Locations are decided on mutually by myself and the client. Sessions that are held outside of 30 miles from my home may be subject to fees of .60 per mile.

The weather forecast says it's supposed to rain on the day of our session. What do we do?

Unfortunately if it's raining when we're supposed to be having your session, we'll need to reschedule. If it's simply overcast, we will most likely proceed.

Something came up, I can't make it to my session. What do I do?

Please email or call me at least 24 hours before your session to cancel. If you would like to reschedule, please do so as soon as possible.Your deposit will be applied toward your new date. You may reschedule up to two times, and the rescheduled session must take place within six months of the original session date. (This does not pertain to weather delayed sessions).

What time will my session take place?

My favorite time to take photos is during the "golden hour". This is the period shortly after sunrise or before sunset. The sun is softer at this time.

Do you retouch your images?

Every image is post produced by myself. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, slective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone adjustments and other corrections. I do my best to do minor retouches to blemishes and scars, however I do try to keep my images as natural as possible. If you wish to have your images edited in greater detail, a quote for the extra work can be sent to you.

Do you travel for weddings?

ABSOLUTELY! I love traveling to new places and nothing excites me more than traveling because of weddings!

When will I receive my gallery?

Portrait sessions will be delivered via an online gallery 2-3 weeks after your session date. Weddings are delivered between 4 - 6 weeks. You are welcome to share your gallery with friends and family.

Do you offer prints?

Yes, and I desperately encourage your to invest in prints! That's why every wedding collection comes with 100 printed images in a beautiful glass, heirloom box. For more information on what products we offer, please click here

Do you offer digital images?

Yes. High resolution digital images are available for individual purchase or you may purchase them through a collection. All wedding collections include all of the edited digital images.

What rights do I have to the digital images?

You have the right to reprint images whenever you want, wherever you want. However, you may not sell you images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of A. Williams Photography. You may share your images on social networking websites and with friends and family as long as the images remain unaltered and textual credit is explicitly given to A. Williams Photography. You may not alter, edit, crop or add any filters (such as Instagram or other apps) to the photos.  The photographs produced by A. Williams Photography are protected by Federal Copyright Law (all rights reserved) and may not be reproduced, altered, tramsitted or used in any manner without A. I printed my images myself and they just don't look like I thought they would.

Did you get your images printed at Walmart, Walgreens or some other similar store? Unfortunately, those companies just do not have the equipment to produce high quality images. That is how they are able to offer lower prices. If you desire to have the best image quality possible, it is recommended you purchase your prints through A. Williams Photography's third party printing company.

What forms of payment do you take?

I currently accept cash, checks, major credit cards and PayPal.
